Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

1. Disconnect the oil temperature sensor connector.
2. Measure the resistances between terminals No. 1 - 2 of the oil temperature sensor connector and check that they match the values below.

Standard value:

Oil temperature at 25° C (77° F):

Resistance value: 10 k ohms

Oil temperature at 120° C (248° F):

Resistance value: 615 ohms

3. If the resistance is outside the standard value, replace the oil temperature sensor.
