NOTE: This diagnosis procedure is limited to cases where communication with the scan tool is possible if ABS-ECU power supply is normal) and no
diagnostic trouble code outputs.
CIRCUIT OPERATION

The ABS-ECU controls the buzzer by turning the power transistor in the control unit ON and OFF.

The ABS-ECU outputs the buzzer-sounding signal when an abnormality occurs on the hydraulic brake booster. (And at the same time, the
ABS-ECU turns on the brake warning light.)
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)

The cause is probably an ABS-ECU malfunction.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (The most likely causes for this condition:)

Damaged wiring harness or connector

Malfunction of the ABS-ECU

Malfunction of the buzzer
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tool:
-
MB991502: Scan Tool (MUT-II)
STEP 1. Check the buzzer circuit at ABS-ECU connector E-106.
Disconnect ABS-ECU connector E-106.
Q: Dose the buzzer still keep on sounding?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Replace the ABS-ECU and then go to Step 4.
