Headlight Washer Motor Drive Circuit

CIRCUIT OPERATION

-

The motion of the headlight washer is judged by the front-ECU.

-

While the headlight relays (low and high) are at the ON position and the ignition switch is at the "ACC" or "ON" position, when the headlight
washer switch is turned ON, the headlight washer motor is operated for 0.5 second.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The front-ECU operates the headlight washer according to the input signals from the following switches:

Ignition switch (ACC)

-

Headlight washer switch

If the headlight washer does not work normally, the headlight washer motor, the front-ECU, the column switch or the ETACS-ECU may be defective.

TROUBLE SHOOTING HINTS

Malfunction of the headlight washer motor.

Malfunction of the column switch (turn-signal light and lighting switch)

Malfunction of the front-ECU

Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU.

Damaged harness wires or connectors
