STEP 1. Check the park/neutral position switch.
Q: Is the park/neutral position switch in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Repair it. The park/neutral position switch "R" position signal should be able to be checked and the rear wiper should work normally.
STEP 2. Check the park/neutral position switch power supply circuit at the park/neutral switch connector C-04.
1. Disconnect park/neutral position switch connector C-04 and measure at the harness side.
2. Turn the ignition switch to "ON" position.
3. Measure the voltage between terminal 7 and ground.
Q: Is the voltage approximately 12 volts (battery positive voltage)?
YES: Go to Step 5.
NO: Go to Step 3.
STEP 3. Check park/neutral position switch connector C-04 for damage.
Q: Is park/neutral position switch connector C-04 in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Repair or replace it. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection. The park/neutral position switch "R" position signal should be able to be checked
