CHILD SAFETY RESTRAINT SYSTEM LOWER ANCHORAGE (2001 MONTERO)
PURPOSE
This bulletin contains information concerning a new child safety restraint system and vehicle lower anchorage for these seats as related to requirements
set forth by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 225. Additional information concerning upper tether strap anchorage, for those restraint
systems which have this feature, is also included in this bulletin.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The 2001 model year Montero's second (center) seat is fitted with lower anchorages for attaching a new child safety restraint system that complies with
FMVSS 225.
NOTE: The marks attached to the lower seatback (dark-threaded, stitched round spots) indicate the locations of the lower anchorage points.
