CLUNK OR POP TYPE NOISE FROM FRONT SUSPENSION
This TSB supercedes TSB-07-26-001, to include the VIN break for the affected vehicle. Revised information is indicated by -->.
PURPOSE
Some affected vehicles may have a clunk or pop type noise from the front suspension when driving at low speeds and turning the steering wheel to the
left or right (parking lot type maneuvers).
NOTE:
There are no strength or durability concerns related to this condition.
If a customer has a vehicle with the above condition, replace the left and right front wheel bearing and snap ring as described in the PROCEDURE
section of this bulletin.

2007 Outlander produced before VIN 7U016676
Vehicles with last eight of the VIN beginning with 7Zxxxxxx are not included in this repair
IMPORTANT:
Only those Outlanders with the last eight of the VIN begining with 7U are included.
PROCEDURE
Replace the left and right wheel bearing and snap ring as described in Group 26 of the 2007 Outlander Service Manual.
CAUTION
Be sure to install the wheel bearing into the knuckle with the shiny (brass) side facing outwards (towards the wheel/tire). If it is installed in the wrong
direction the ABS lamp will illuminate due to no signal from the speed sensor.
