RKE INTEGRATED KEY CASE SERVICE PARTS KIT AVAILABILITY

This TSB supercedes TSB-06-42A-008, issued September, 2006, to revise affected vehicles and add part number information for newer model year
vehicles. Revised information is indicated by <.

PURPOSE<

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) integrated key case repair kits are now available. If the plastic parts of the key are broken or missing, but the doors lock
and unlock when pressing the buttons, use the appropriate service parts kit instead of replacing the entire key assembly. When replacing only the key
case, it is not necessary to program the immobilizer and RKE functions. Once the electronic components are transferred to the new case, the key can be
cut to the proper code.

The contents of each kit depends on the vehicle's model and model year. Refer to the Kit Contents section of this TSB for details.

NOTE:

To prevent breakage, please follow the instructions in "Features and Controls" of the owner's manual or Group 42A BODY of the service manual when
opening the key case for battery replacement or other repairs.
