PURPOSE
This bulletin clarifies the measurement of the installed length of the load sensing spring in the 1988 Truck Service Manual. Also, a production change in
the length of the load sensing valve body became effective December 1, 1987. The installed-length dimensions for later models are longer than those
used on earlier models. An identification stamp on the end of the valve body enables you to determine which dimension to use. This bulletin shows the
correct method of measuring the distance between the spring attaching points.
