Ball Joint: Service and Repair
LOWER BALL JOINT
REMOVAL
1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
2. Remove the brake caliper and rotor.
3. Remove the outer tie rod retaining nut (1) from the knuckle (5).
4. Separate the tie rod (2) from the steering knuckle using puller C-3894A (1).
