TPMS Sensor 0-Ring (grommet)

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Unless there is an actual diagnosed defect in the Tire Pressure Monitoring System or deformity in one of the 0-rings, the following conditions (not all
inclusive) are NOT warrantable and a warranty claim may NOT be submitted:

Resetting tire pressure for a customer

Tightening valve nuts

^

Replacing individual TPMS sensors due to external damage

^

Replacing a TPMS sensor (transmitter) or 0-ring for any reason if the TPMS has been transferred to any aftermarket wheel

^

Replacing a TPMS sensor (transmitter) due to a deformed 0-ring only

Claims submitted for the above issues or any other issue unrelated to an actual defective component will be charged back. All replaced TPMS sensors
claimed under warranty will be requested for return for testing, and will be charged back if testing shows not defective.

When a customer comes in with an illuminated TPMS warning light, dealership service advisors should be instructed to always check tire pressure on all
four tires before any other diagnosis is performed.

TPMS-related labor operations are located in Section 31 of the MMC LOTS on page 31-2.

Warranty Claim Completion Requirements:

If a defective and warrantable TPMS component is repaired and/or replaced, the observed Diagnostic Trouble Codes must be entered in the SPEC
VALUE field on ALL RELATED CLAIMS. Claims submitted for any warrantable TPMS issue that do not have the observed DTCs entered on the
related claim will be charged back.
