Engine Control Module: Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures

With CONSULT

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1) Turn ignition switch "ON" and wait for at least 3 seconds.
2) Select "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT.

Generic Scan Tool

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1) Turn ignition switch "ON" and wait for at least 3 seconds.
2) Select "Mode 3" with Generic Scan Tool (GST).

Without CONSULT

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1) Turn ignition switch "ON" and wait for at least 3 seconds.
2) Perform "Diagnostic Test Mode II" (Self-diagnostic results) with Engine Control Module (ECM).
