APPLIED VEHICLE:
1995-96 Sentra/200SX SE-R (B14) with manual transmission & SR20DE engine

SERVICE INFORMATION

If a 1995-96 200SX SE-R (with the SR20DE engine) has a MIL "ON" and DTC P0402 (EGR-BPT Valve Function) stored and the service manual
procedures are unsuccessful in resolving the incident, it is possible the customer's driving habits are causing the ECM misjudgment during BPT
diagnosis.

A countermeasure EGR tube has been developed to resolve this incident.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Follow the service manual diagnostics (1995 Sentra/200SX Service Manual page EC-155 or 1996 Sentra/200SX Service Manual page EC-161) to
verify there is no system malfunction.

2.

If all preliminary checks are "OK", install the countermeasure EGR tube.
