1995 SENTRA/200SX FRONT WINDOW MISALIGNMENT

SERVICE INFORMATION

If a Sentra or 200SX front window glass slips out of the window lift channel at the top front edge of the channel, it may be due to a mis-alignment of the
lift channel and the window lift regulator. This incident may occur in vehicles equipped with power or manual crank windows. A new service procedure
has been developed that will space the window glass away from the regulator to improve the window glass and channel alignment.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Verify the window is out of the window lift channel.

2.

Lower window approximately 1/3. This will allow access later to the window glass mounting bolts.

3.

Remove door panel (refer to page BT-18 in the 1995 Sentra/200SX Service Manual for proper procedure).

4.

Access the window glass mounting bolts by carefully removing the plastic moisture protection material so that the top 1/2 of the inner door
opening is exposed.

5.

Install two 1 mm (.040") thick washers behind each window glass mounting bolt. The washers should be installed between the window glass
mounts and the regulator (refer to illustration "A"). Note: If both window glass mounting bolts are removed at the same time, the glass may drop to
the bottom of the door.

6.

After installing the washers and securing the glass to the regulator, re-attach the power window switch (if equipped), and raise and lower the
window to ensure proper operation.

7.

Re-install the plastic moisture protection material and door panel. Retest window operation.
