Thermo Time Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove radiator filler cap. Drain cooling water by opening drain valve located on the lower side of radiator.
2. Disconnect water hose at thermostat housing.
3. Disconnect battery ground cable.
4. Disconnect lead wires from thermal transmitter, and remove thermal transmitter, Fig. 83.
5. Disconnect electric connector from thermotime switch.
6. Remove thermotime switch by turning counterclockwise.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
