Wheel Bearing: Testing and Inspection
Rear Wheel Bearing

Check that wheel hub bearing operates smoothly.

Check axial end play.

Axial end play: 0.05 mm (0.0020 inch) or less

Check tightening torque of wheel bearing lock nut, it should be 187 - 255 Nm (138 - 188 ft. lbs.).

If axial end play is not within specification, or wheel bearing does not turn smoothly, replace wheel hub bearing assembly.
