Disconnect the vacuum hose from the controller.

2.

Remove the distributor cap.

3.

Remove the rotor head.

4.

Remove the three screws 'A' (Figure 3) and pull out the stator and magnet.

5.

Remove screw 'B' which is connected to the vacuum controller (Figure 4).

CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the spring washer. When lifting screw 'B', use needle nose pliers.

6.

Remove the vacuum controller mounting screw 'C' and then pull out the vacuum controller (Figure 5).

7.

Install the new vacuum controller, but do not install mounting screw 'C'.

8.

Install and tighten screw 'B'.

9.

Reinstall the magnet and stator, then tighten the three mounting screws 'A'.

10.

Turn the magnet by sliding the vacuum controller in and out. Check the clearance between magnet and each reluctor tip (Figure 6).
