BATTERY DESIGNATION

Battery designations for Nissan models have been changed. However, the performance and size of the batteries remain the same. For your reference, an
explanation of battery designations is shown below, and a cross reference chart of old and new designations is found on page EE-20.

The recently distributed 1986.5 200SX, 1987 Maxima and Sentra Service Manuals contain the new designations (Section EL, Battery procedures). In
addition, all future printings of Nissan Service Manuals will reference the new designations.
