Throttle Position Switch: Testing and Inspection
Electronic Concentrated Engine Controls (ECCS-Turbo)

Idle Contact Test

1. Disconnect wiring harness connector from throttle valve switch.
2. Connect ohmmeter between terminals 29 and 30 on switch. With throttle valve closed, ohmmeter should show continuity.

Full Throttle Contact Test

1 . Disconnect wiring harness connector from throttle valve switch.
2. Connect ohmmeter between terminals 24 and 30 on throttle valve switch. Ohmmeter should not show continuity.
3. Depress accelerator pedal fully while observing ohmmeter. Meter should show continuity at full throttle position.

Insulation Test

1. Connect ohmmeter between chassis ground and terminals 24, 29 and 30 on throttle valve switch.
2. Meter should indicate infinite resistance.
