SERVICE PROCEDURE - SPOT REPAIR

Clean panel with DX-330 wax and grease remover or suitable cleaner.

Properly treat and prime repair area with DP-40/401 epoxy primer and K-200/201 or Kondor primer if filling is required. When using a primer
surfacer, wet sand the repair area with 600 grit or finer paper.

Compound or wet sand the entire repair area with 1500 grit or finer paper.

Apply DSX-1900 bonding clear over repair and blend area. Allow to flash for 30 minutes.

2.

Apply Basecoat (4181) using 35 to 45 PSI until repair area is hidden. Allow 10-15 minutes flash between coats. Apply basecoat over repair
area only - this will keep the spot repair as small as possible.

3.

Apply the number of coats of Pearl (4182) already determined by the sample panel over the basecoat area only.* Allow 15-20 minutes flash
between coats. Apply using 55-60 lbs. at the gun.

NOTE:

Remember to keep the initial Pearlcoat (4182) application within the area of the applied basecoat (4182) until proper color is achieved. If
overlapping occurs prior to achieving color, a halo effect may result do to excessive film build on the outer edge of the repair.

Blend a final mist coat of Pearl (4182) outward from the repair area using an arching motion with the gun. Let the Pearlcoat dry for 20-30 minutes
at 70-75~ before clearcoating.

Clearcoat with DBU-60 acrylic clear, DAU-82 Delglo acrylic urethane clear or DBU-88 polyurethane clear. Each clear has different properties
and should be selected to match specific needs.

*NOTE: If the color match of the basecoat appears to be off, it can be checked against an exposed portion of the factory basecoat which is located under
the right and left sill plates.
