Follow the instructions for step 3 listed in NTB96-010a.

NOTE: 

The other two fusible links may be re-connected for the harness resistance check procedure.

Reinstall the fusible links and continue with the procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE - 300ZX

1.

If the negative battery cable is damaged or corroded, and cannot be removed and reinstalled correctly, disconnect the following fusible links (see
Figure 2).

NOTE: 

The "EGI INJ" fusible link may have either one or two wires.

2.

When step 3 on page 12/43 of NTB96-010a is reached, perform the following procedure:

Place one ohmmeter probe in the harness side (upper left side of fusible link nearest fender) and the other ohmmeter probe to the negative battery
post.

Follow the instructions for step 3 listed in NTB96-010a.

NOTE:

The other two fusible links may be re-connected for the harness resistance check procedure.

Reinstall the fusible links and continue with the campaign procedure.
