Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

1. On 1984-85 models and 1986 200SX, start engine, then disconnect fuel pump wire connector. The fuel pump wire connector is located in the right

hand tool box on 200SX models. On 280ZX, 300ZX and Maxima models, the fuel pump wire connector is located in the luggage compartment
beneath the floor mat.

2. On 1986 models except 200SX, remove fuel pump fuse, then start engine.
3. On all models, after engine has stalled, crank engine two or three times to ensure pressure is released.
4. Place ignition switch in the OFF position, then reconnect fuel pump wire connector.
