SPECIAL SERVICE CAMPAIGN FOR REED VALVE
CLEANING ON 1982 DATSUN 310 FEDERAL MODELS
APPLIED MODEL: 1982 310 (Federal Models Only)
INTRODUCTION
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has determined that operating conditions have caused unexpected emission control system deterioration in some 1982 Datsun
310 vehicles. Specifically, carbon or other foreign material may accumulate on the reed valves of the Secondary Air Induction System and prevent
proper operation of the induction (reed) valves. This deterioration could cause the engine to emit pollutants in excess of Federal emission standards.
All Owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by letter to bring their vehicles to a Nissan dealer for cleaning of the induction valve assemblies and
if necessary, replacement of the induction valve filter. This service will be provided at no cost to the owner.
AFFECTED MODELS
