General Information

DIESEL ENGINE OIL RECOMMENDATIONS, LD28

RECOMMENDED SAE VISCOSITY &API SERVICE CLASSIFICATION FORLD28 DIESEL ENGINE OILS

The factory has expanded the oil recommendations for the 1981-82 LD28 diesel engine to include the CC rating. Refer to the chart for proper
application.

Engine oils are specified by both their SAE viscosity rating and their API service classification. SA, SB, SC, SD, SE and SF are API service
classifications for gasoline engines, and CA, CB, CC, and CD, for diesel engines.

Engine oils which have only an API gasoline engine classification such as SE or SF, should not be used in LD28 diesel engine, since their use may
adversely affect engine operation and durability.
