FRONT SEAT BELT LOCKING CLIP

A growing number of states are passing legislation requiring that all children 4 years and younger be secured by a child restraint system when occupying
a seat in a moving vehicle. To assist in using most child seats or infant carriers in the front seat of a vehicle, Nissan is making available a front seat belt
locking clip. The part is available now.

In vehicles produced after January, 1983, the owners manual will contain information describing the new clip. The attached illustration and
installation/adjustment procedures describe the Nissan child Restraint Locking Clip.

Please advise all of your sales, service, and parts personnel about the availability of this part and insure that these personnel are familiar with the proper
installation procedure, so that they can demonstrate the proper use of the locking clip.

The clip will allow most current infant carriers or child seats to be installed in the front passenger seat of a vehicle. The clip is not required for rear seat
installation of an infant carrier or child's seat.
