b. There are two Pad Retainers in the Hardware Kit. Select the one that has the adhesive pads (see Figure 2).

c. Remove the cover strips and place the Pad Retainer with adhesive pads down on the lower section of the torque member that you just cleaned
(see Figure 3).

d. Apply the contents of the grease packet supplied in the Hardware Kit to the back of the pad, between the pad and the new shim.

NOTE:

Do not use any other grease except the one supplied in the Kit for this repair.

e. Continue with normal re-assembly.

2. Test drive the vehicle as described in the IF YOU CONFIRM section shown in this bulletin to verify the symptom is reduced.
