Oil Pressure Warning Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation
LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING LAMP
Low oil pressure warning lamp is controlled by the IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room). See: Instrument Panel, Gauges
and Warning Indicators
Low oil pressure causes oil pressure switch terminal + to provide ground to IPDM E/R terminal 50. The IPDM E/R then signals the combination meter
(unified meter control unit) via the CAN lines and ground is provided to the low oil pressure warning lamp. See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning
Indicators/Testing and Inspection/Warning Lamps
When power and ground are supplied, the low oil pressure warning lamp illuminates.
