Compressor Clutch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

-

When removing center bolt, hold clutch disc with clutch disc tool.

-

Remove the clutch disc.
Clutch disc holding tool: (J-44614) Commercial service tool

Remove the snap ring using external snap ring pliers.

Pulley removal:
Use a pulley puller with small adapter. Position the small adapter on the end of the drive shaft and the center of the puller on the small adapter.
Remove the pulley assembly with the puller.
To prevent deformation of the pulley groove, the puller claws should be hooked under (not into) the pulley groove.

Remove the snap ring using external snap ring pliers.

Remove the magnet coil harness clip using a screwdriver, remove the three magnet coil fixing screws and remove the magnet coil.
