The Threadlocker is considered a "shop supply. There is enough in the bottle for 50 to 100 applications. Do NOT put it on the warranty claim.

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding table.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Replace the M/T Console Boot as follows:

1.

Unscrew and remove the M/T Shift Knob.

NOTE: 

The Shift Knob may become damaged (break) when you try to remove it. Install a new Shift Knob if this happens.

2.

Remove the old M/T Console Boot assembly. Refer to the applicable Service Manual for removal.

3.

Install the new M/T Console Boot assembly in the reverse order it was removed.

NOTE:

Before you install the new M/T Console Boot assembly:

Clean the Flange Bracket (on the shifter) to remove dirt/debris/residue.
