Apply (wrap) four layers of vinyl (electrical) tape around the Flange Bracket (see Figure 1). This will help prevent contact/rubbing
between the Flange Bracket and the Console Boot.

Apply a few drops of High Temp High Strength Threadlocker Red* to the shift lever threads.

Use Nissan P/N 999MP-AM004P. Details are covered in the PARTS INFORMATION section.

5.

Reinstall (or replace if needed) the Shift Knob.

Make sure the gear shift numbers and the knob are in the proper position (NOT slanted).
