Complete the Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning.

Section 4: Perform ECM Reprogram Confirmation.

Remove the reprogramming CARD from CONSULT-II and insert the Diagnostic Card (red/white card).

Start the engine.

Make sure all DTCs are cleared (erased).

If necessary, erase any DTC's that may have stored during the reprogramming procedure.

Idle Air Volume Learning Procedure:

For 2002 Models: Perform the Idle Air Volume Leaning Procedure.

For 2005 and 2006 models: Idle Air Volume Leaning Procedure is not needed.

35.

Check engine idle speed. (Target Idle Speed: No Load in P or N-700 +/- 50 rpm.)

36.

Confirm the engine is operating normally.

Idle Air Volume Learning (IAVL) Procedure

IDLE AIR VOLUME LEARNING (IAVL) PROCEDURE

NOTE:

The IAVL procedure will normally complete within 2 minutes after Procedure Start.

Use CONSULT-II to confirm / perform the Pre-Conditions shown.

NOTE: 

The IAVL procedure will self-cancel if any of the following Pre-Conditions are not met and maintained for as long as the procedure is running.

After warming up the engine and confirming all of the above preconditions, then

Turn the ignition OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

Start the engine and let the idle stabilize for about 30 seconds.

NOTE:

If the engine will not idle, hold the engine RPM at about 2000, then slowly bring it down to an idle.

Using CONSULT-II, select [WORK SUPPORT] > [IDLE AIR VOL LEARN].

5.

Touch [START] and wait 20 seconds to 2 minutes: CMPLT should be displayed.

NOTE:

If INCMP is displayed within 2 minutes, or test is not finished within 2 minutes, Idle Air Volume Learning was not carried out
successfully.
