If the metal tab unfolds, a gap can form between the waist molding and finisher fabric (see Figure 3).

The Service Procedure will have you bending the door finisher waist molding inward to completely fit over the finisher fabric.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the door finisher. Refer to the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM), Section EI (Exterior and Interior)/Door Finisher/Removal
and Installation for detail.

2.

There is some "EPT" foam that is glued to the window channel molding (see Figure 4)

Pull this foam back and remove it from the window channel molding (see Figure 4).
