Once both outer hinge portions have been pried off of the slide rail, move (slide) the wind deflector rearward (see Figure 2) until it is two inches
away from the forward edge or the sunroof glass. The purpose for doing this is to:

Release the inner portion of the wind deflector hinges from the sunroof slide rail

Position the wind deflector in preparation for step 5 below

Carefully lift the wind deflector up out of the sunroof opening as follows:

A.

Tuck either hinged end (driver or passenger side) of the deflector into the open space (gap) between the sunroof slide rail and the vehicle
roof (see Figure 3).

B.

Lift the other end of the deflector up and out of the sunroof opening (see Figure 3).

C.

Carefully remove the remaining portion of the deflector from the open space (between the sunroof slide rail and roof) and from the vehicle.

Wind Deflector Installation

Install the NEW wind deflector as follows:

Inspect and remove any dirt/debris from the sunroof slide rail that would interfere with proper operation of the wind deflector.
