A.

Pull the A/T shift cable end socket clip OFF of the mating ball stud (see Figure 8a). Be careful not to damage the clip.

B.

Pull the A/T shift cable out of the A/T shift assembly (see Figure 8b).

10.

Disconnect the 2 clips that secure the wire harness to the driver side of the A/T shift assembly (see Figure 9).

11.

Remove the A/T shift assembly from the vehicle and gently place it upside down on a clean flat padded surface.

12.

Install the Noise Damper Kit (P/N 34998-3Z000) as follows:
