Fluid - A/T: Service and Repair

Changing A/T Fluid

1. Warm up All fluid.
2. Stop engine.
3. Drain All fluid from drain plug and refill with new All fluid. Always refill same volume with drained fluid.

Fluid grade: Nissan Matic "D" (Continental U.S. and Alaska) or Canada NISSAN Automatic Transmission Fluid Refer to "RECOMMENDED 
FLUIDS AND LUBRICANTS".

Fluid capacity (With torque converter)
RE4F04B/RE4F04W : 2.4 - 3.0 l (2.5 - 3.2 US qt)
Drain plug : 29 - 39 N.m (3.0 - 4.0 kg-m, 22 - 29 ft-lb)

4. Run engine at idle speed for five minutes.
5. Check fluid level and condition. Refer to "Checking All Fluid". If fluid is still dirty, repeat step 2 through 5.
