Remove the two nuts that secure the Front Exhaust Pipe to the Muffler (see Figure D2). Then, separate the Front Exhaust Pipe from the Muffler.
Save the gasket; you'll need to re-use it.

This Step For Altima ONLY: Slide the Front Exhaust Pipe Hanger Pin out of the Front Exhaust Pipe Hanger (see Figure D3).

Remove the Exhaust Pipe from the vehicle.
