Confirm that both left hand and right hand Cable Cam Followers are aligned with the 2 scribe marks on the Link Arms (see Figure 4).

If Cable Cam Follower alignment is OK, proceed to step 8.

If alignment is N/G:

a.

Remove the sunroof motor (see the appropriate Service Manual).

b.

Manually move the cables (by sliding the Cable Cam Followers) to align the Cable Cam Followers with the Link Arm scribe marks.

c.

Plug the sunroof motor back into the vehicle harness.

d.

The sunroof motor has built-in limit switches for full clockwise, full counterclockwise and home/middle position. Using the sunroof
motor switch, run the motor one direction and then the other until the home/middle position is reached.

e.

Reinstall the sunroof motor.

8.

Run the sunroof mechanism to the "Tilt" position.

If the left hand Link Arm Foot is not bent, use a 2.5 mm hex wrench to slightly loosen its securing bolt. Then proceed to step 9.

If the left hand Link Arm Foot is bent:

a.

Using a 2.5 mm hex wrench, remove the Link Arm Foot and its securing bolt.

b.

Carefully bend the Link Arm Foot back to its original shape (compare it to the right hand Link Arm Foot for guidance).

CAUTION: 

Take care doing this step. The Link Arm Foot or its securing bolt is not available as a separate service part.

c.

Assemble the left hand Link Arm Foot and securing bolt back onto the Link Arm, leaving the securing bolt finger tight for now.

9.

Return the sunroof mechanism to the home position.
