Do the following for both the left and right side. Refer to Figure B11.

1.

Remove the seat belt anchor bolt cover and anchor bolt.

Bolt torque for reassembly:

49 N.m (5.0 kg-m, 36 ft-lb)

2.

Remove the assist handle.

76 Bolt torque for reassembly:

5.8 N.m (0.59 kg-m, 51 in-lb)

3.

Remove the center pillar lower trim.

4.

Disconnect the seat belt pre-tensioner electrical connector.

Front Seat (driver and passenger) Side Air Bag Module Connectors.

1.

Look under each of the front seats and disconnect the yellow SRS connectors.
