The air bag diagnosis sensor unit is under the center console.

WARNING:

DO NOT disconnect the diagnosis sensor unit electrical connectors at this time. All air bag modules and pre-tensioners must be disconnected
before disconnecting the diagnosis sensor unit. Refer to "Armada Procedures for disconnecting all of the air bag modules and seat belt
pre-tensioners" below.

After all air bag modules and pre-tensioners are disconnected continue with step 15

15.

Remove the old air bag diagnosis sensor unit and install the new one as follows:

a.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.

b.

Remove and discard the hex head bolts shown in Figure A9.

c.

Remove the old sensor unit and set the new unit in place.

d.

Install new hex head bolts. New bolts are included with the new sensor unit.

e.

Tighten bolts in the order shown in Figure A9.

f.

Torque bolts to 20 N.m (2 kg-m, 15 ft-lb).

Reinstall all parts removed in reverse order:

Make sure to inspect all trim clips, replace if needed.

Torque all bolts to the correct specification.

17.

Connect the battery cables, positive cable first.

Reset the clock and the radio station presets.

19.

Use CONSULT-II to perform SELF-DIAG [CURRENT]; make sure no codes are stored.
