FRONT DOOR LOCK

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove the front door window regulator. Refer to See: Front Door Window Glass/Service and Repair.
2. Remove the front door window rear glass run.

3. Remove the door side grommet, and the bolt (TORX T30) from the grommet hole.

Torx bolt 5.3 N.m (0.54 kg-m, 47 in-lb)

4. While pulling the outside handle (1), remove the door key cylinder assembly or outside handle escutcheon (2).
5. Separate the key cylinder rod from the door key cylinder assembly (if equipped).

6. While pulling the outside handle (1), slide it toward rear of vehicle to remove (2).
7. Remove the front gasket (1) and rear gasket (2).

8. Remove the TORX bolts (T30), and separate the door lock assembly from the door.
