SERVICE INFORMATION

The fuel door on some 1990 Axxess models may fail to open even though the remote release handle is working properly. This may be caused by:

Condition A. Improperly adjusted or missing fuel door spring.

Condition B. A wax coating on the inside of the lid causes the fuel door lid to stick to the lid bumpers.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

Condition "All - Adjust spring toward the lid until it fully contacts the stop (see figure 1). Replace a missing or badly damaged spring.
