The A-pillar garnish moldings on some 1990 Axxess vehicles may be loose at the upper rear portion of the molding.  This is caused by a slight
misalignment between the molding clips and the clip mounting holes (Figure 1).  If an A-pillar garnish molding is found to be loose, repair according to
the following procedure.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Carefully remove the loose A-pillar garnish molding.

2.

Remove the second clip (Figure 2, # 2) from the garnish molding. After removing the garnish, cut away the second clip bracket from the A-pillar
garnish molding.

Enlarge the width of the top two mounting holes rearward by 2 mm (Figure 3).

4.

Re-install the garnish molding without the second clip.
