SERVICE INFORMATION

Some of the Applied Models listed above may fail to start if the ECU connector is not fully seated in the ECU. The connector may be misaligned and
cocked to one side with the center bolt torqued down. The plastic encasement where the connector plugs in, or the connector itself, may be slightly
warped causing a misalignment during connector installation. (See illustrations.)

When installing the ECU connector, ensure that it is properly aligned and firmly seated by hand, then install and torque the center bolt. When properly
seated, the top of the connector should not extend more than 7 mm beyond the ECU case as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:

The center bolt can be properly torqued and the malfunction can still occur if the ECU connector is not properly aligned.
