Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Lower Ball Joint

Fig. 4  Removing Tie Rod End

1.

Remove wheel bearing locknut.

2.

Remove tie rod ball joint, then loosen but do not remove strut attaching nuts.

3.

Remove lower to transverse link attaching nut.

4.

Remove driveshaft from knuckle.

5.

Remove lower ball joint from knuckle using special tool HT72520000 or equivalent Fig. 4.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.
