Power Locks: Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

With Intelligent Key System

DOOR DOES NOT LOCK/UNLOCK WITH DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH

ALL DOOR : Description

All doors do not lock/unlock using door lock and unlock switch.

DOOR DOES NOT LOCK/UNLOCK WITH DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH

ALL DOOR : Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check power supply and ground circuit.  See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Power Supply And Ground Circuit/With Intelligent Key
System
Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
2.CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH
Check door lock and unlock switch.

Driver side: See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Door Lock And Unlock Switch/Driver Side/Component Function Check/With
Intelligent Key System.

Passenger side: See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Door Lock And Unlock Switch/Passenger Side/Component Function Check/With
Intelligent Key System.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
3.CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR
Check front door lock assembly (driver side).  See: Door Locks/Service and Repair/Front Door Lock/Removal And Installation/With Intelligent Key
System.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
4.CONFIRM THE OPERATION
Confirm the operation again.
Is the result normal?
YES  - Check intermittent incident.  See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Service Information For Electrical
Incident/Intermittent Incident.
NO - GO TO 1.

Without Intelligent Key System

DOOR DOES NOT LOCK/UNLOCK WITH DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH

1.CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

Check door lock and unlock switch.
