Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove instrument lower panel LH.  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Exploded

View.

2. Remove knee protector.  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal And

Installation.

3. Disconnect the stop lamp switch and ASCD brake switch (with ASCD) harness connectors.
4. Disconnect the accelerator pedal harness connector and clip.
5. Remove snap pin and clevis pin from clevis.
6. Remove the brake pedal assembly.
7. Remove accelerator pedal from brake pedal assembly.  See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Accelerator Pedal Position

Sensor/Service and Repair/Exploded View.

INSTALLATION
Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.

Apply the multi-purpose grease to the clevis pin and the mating faces. (Not necessary if grease has been already applied)

NOTE:
The clevis pin may be inserted in either direction.
