Make sure the lower fork of the shift link is fitting around the step motor pin (see Figure 10).

c. Continue to lift the valve body into the transmission case until it properly seats onto its two (2) alignment dowels.

d. Install a couple bolts at opposite ends of each other finger tight, and then install finger tight the remaining bolts.

IMPORTANT CHECKS:

Make sure the different lengths of bolts are installed in the correct holes (see Figure 6 on Page 7).

After you have the new valve body in place, make sure the upper and lower forks of the shift link are positioned around their matching pins (see
Figure 9 and 10).

17. Install the filter assembly with its Allen bolts finger tight.

18. Torque the valve body bolts.

For location of valve body bolts needing to be torqued, refer to Figure 6.

Torque sequence as per Figure 6: 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L, 5L, 6M, 7M, 8M, 9S, 10M, 11S, and then 12L.

20. Reinstall the collar on the manual shaft (see Figure 11).
