This is a re-issue of a previously-released Bulletin (TS89-031; ST89-002 on March 2, 1989) which includes new application information for the 1987-88
and 1990 Van.

The configuration of the power steering idler pulley assembly for the Applied Models has been modified to improve durability and prevent grinding or
scraping-type noise incidents. The countermeasure idler pulley assembly has been applied to 1988 Trucks with the Z24i engine, produced beginning with
the Applied VIN, and is also available as a service part. The following drawing (Figure 1) shows the difference between the former and the
countermeasure idler pulley assemblies.
