Electro Injection Unit (TBI Type Fuel Inj): Description and Operation

Throttle Body (Exploded View)

The throttle body, located on the intake manifold, is used to regulate the amount of air flowing into the engine, thereby controlling engine output.
It is made up of top and bottom halves. The top half is called the venturi chamber. The bottom half is called the throttle chamber.
The venturi chamber contains the following components:

Air flow meter

Fuel pressure regulator

Injector

Thermal - wax valve

^

Cold idle cam assembly

The throttle chamber contains the following components:

Dash pot

FICD solenoid

Idle-up solenoid
