2. Use a snap ring that will provide specified play in axial direction of journal as shown. Select snap rings with a difference in thickness at both sides

within 0.06mm (0.0024 in).

3. Adjust thrust clearance between bearing and snap ring to zero by tapping yoke.

4. Check to see that journal moves smoothly and that axial play does not exceed 0.02mm (0.0008 in).

Installation

1. Remove plug from rear end of transmission extension housing. Slide propeller shaft onto output shaft of transmission.

2. Line up match marks on flanges and install propeller shaft to final drive.
