Fuel Supply Line: Description and Operation

Fuel Tank Assembly

The fuel delivery system consists of several components:
^ Fuel delivery lines and hoses.

Designed to allow fuel to travel from the fuel pump outlet to the fuel filter and on to the fuel rail and injectors.

^ Fuel return lines and hoses

Designed to allow fuel to flow from the fuel pressure regulator to the return fitting on the fuel pump and into the tank.

^ Fuel evaporation tube

Designed to allow fuel vapor to flow from the fuel tank through the check valve and into the carbon canister.

The fuel lines are made of stainless steel and the hoses are made of high pressure type (to withstand fuel pressures needed for fuel injection
systems).
The hose clamps are a high pressure stainless steel type and should not be replaced with standard hose clamps.
